Students will identify different sewing notions and parts of the sewing machine.
Students will demonstrate basic sewing skills.
Students will construct an item made from fabric using all skills learned in class following a pattern.
Students will demonstrate appropriate work ethic, safety, and respect throughout the labs.
GOALS
SUCCESS CRITERIA
I can identify different sewing notions and parts of the machine by taking a quiz.
I can demonstrate my basic sewing skills by giving a sample of my work of the following:
Threading the bobbin
Threading the top and bottom of the machine
5/8 inch regular stitch with a back stitch
1/2 inch basting stitch
I can identify safety expectations by taking a sewing safety quiz and can demonstrate a good work ethic, safety and respect by participating appropriately in the lab and following the rules of the lab.
I can complete my project and turn it in with the grading rubric on time.
